methotrexate- inhibits dihydrofolate reductase

mercaptopurine and thioguanine (both purine analogues that inhibit purine synthesis),
azacytidine (limits pyrimidine synthesis by inhibiting orotidylate decarboxylase),

hydroxyurea (inhibits formation of deoxyribonucleotides from ribonucleotides),

5-fluorouracil (inhibits thymidylate synthase) and

cytarabine (AKA cytosine arabinoside, which inhibits DNA
polymerase).

hi joannitam, both daunorubicin and doxorubicin are not mentioned in kaplan pharma under S phase..
so i browsed... it seems that these are cell cycle nonspecific drugs. explanation.. those that bind directly to DNA are not cell cycle specific

Duanorubicin & doxo (binds to and intercalates DNA, DNA strand breakage and inhibition of the enzyme topoisomerase II)

Etoposide is also S phase drug. ( eukaryotic topoismomerase inhibitor)
