Shouldn't they have given the previous size of cyst?

If the adnexal cyst is more than 5cm in size there is a great chance for the bleeding into cyst and rupture during the susequent gestation period...
2nd trimester is the most appropriate time to remove the cyst... So the answer is DDD

Seventy percent of non-pregnant women with purely cystic pelvic masses that are less than 10 cm in size have spontaneous resolution. Surgical removal during pregnancy is indicated for adnexal cysts that are larger than 5 cm and persist over time because these have a high risk of rupture, hemorrhage and torsion, all of which may lead to preterm delivery. Elective surgical removal should be delayed until the second trimester to decrease the chance of fetal complications. The patient should not be allowed to reach the third trimester/term without surgically removing her pelvic mass because of possible complications during labor and delivery.
