Focus on you, do not worry what the hotmail79 or 69 is saying bc if she or he was in your shoes,sh e/je will be worrying about residency. People are so miserable that they didn't get residency and it is easy to criticize.....just following the guidelines and they will do pre-employment check anyway....GL,

can you let me know details of your prgram..with tb you are threat for this year...brother I can take your position and then you can join again next year?..do you think it is ok?

Wait, calm down let's do it step by step. First let's see if you're PPD positive
This is the protocol:

PPD- / repeat PPD if negative again, no treatment
PPD+/CXR- INH + B6 for 9 months
PPD+/CXR+ TB treatment

Active TB might bring some trouble. But you'll be non-infectious after 2 weeks of starting treatment. And I hope the doctors in your program know about it because I've noticed that many of them are not familiar with TB.

Academically, you can start your residency after 2 weeks of treatment but first let's see if your CXR comes back positive. Keep us posted if you can. Best of luck.
