thank you, but i heard that many university programs prefer Green Card instead of EAD/work permit. How do I find out if they accept EAD/Work permit ?
If I just have EAD instead of actual Green Card, would I be receiving fewer interview calls ?

yeah u can take up a residency if u get work permit as a dependent, cos its yearly renewable till u get the gc. well if u r the primary applicant, then job change should happen in the same job category while u r on ead. as a dependent ead is as good as gc for all practical purposes.hope this helps
