Apart from NP, DO's are also increasing in number so there will be a significant increase in PCP'S. As far as I understand PCP's anticipate to receive a slight increase in salary to secure them in their field as well as an incentive to get more graduating MS to go into FM/IM. And the subspecialities will get a pay cut. So the Cardiologist who used to do alot of procedures will get less reimbursement from Medicare than in the past.
