I just spoke to a NRMP agent, she said they request information from ECFMG every Monday morning (starting Dec 1 through Feb 21) whether the applicants have taken and passed the necessary exams required for certification. IF the ECFMG says yes, it means VERIFIED status on NRMP. I took my last step exam in september and the results were out in october. Until December 1, my status was Unverified on NRMP and by mid-december it showed as Verified, even though as mentioned above, I did not get my MBBS degree certificate until Jan 2007. I expect to be ECFMG certified by March/April 2007.
