I dont use skype.

love it but wouldnt wear it for the dinner gathering and not the interview.

If you wear a scarf its better you wear a pant suit, try to find one with a long jacket. Or buy separates and mix and match. As for skirt suit- long skirts are usually frowned upon esp at a hospital/interview environment.Most of the ladies were knee length or midlength skirts soemthing we cant wear.
Some colour wont do you harm either - suits in solid colour or pinstripes in navyblues, greys, blacks, brown/tan and blouses in cream, blue,violet, pink, tan or white. I have read some interviewees have worn burgundy colour too at a different forum.
