If you are 100% sure that you will get EAD before next match season, it would be better exclude the J1 program and reapply with EAD (greencard?) if you go unmatched this season. Waiting for one year is better than struggling two or more years after the residency on J1.
I have no hope for EAD in such a short term, so I will rank J1 programs.
Please take my advise with caution because I don't exactly know your circumstance.

Will definitely get EAD, yesterday rule was passed but will get by august end. I understand but worries me to go unmatched. For now I have removed J1 programs. Thank you for your sincere advice. Wish you luck for the match.

Does that rule means H4 EAD? I recommend you make sure doing residency on H4 EAD is allowed. Because it is a new rule, so it seems very critical to make sure about this issue with lawyer. I said in the previous thread assuming that you will get EAD of Greencard. I am not a specialist of visa, so please don't rely fully on my advise. That might make me feel guilty if you go wrong. I have just read the news on the newly passed rule regarding H4 EAD. It says "CERTAIN H-4 dependent spouses of H-1B nonimmigrants". It seems that not all H-4 are eligible for EAD. Please consult lawyer or someone who is more knowledgeable about this issue.

Have been told that will get unrestricted employment with h4 ead and I am eligible for same. It is a tough decision to remove program from list but will be confirming again as only have 2 hrs left to make a decision. 😳😳Thank you.
