I got the official transcript from ECFMG and sent it to them.

It's a VA hospital so i'm pretty sure you have to be a U.S citizen to even enter. So it's not worth applying if you are not a citizen.

@wannabdr: It is a VA hospital. You don't need to be a citizen to enter. You do need a social security number. As long as you have that, you are fine. Because they have to run a background check on you.

The minimum time committment for this externship is 6 months. You have direct patient contact, interview patients, write notes, discuss management with attending, interact with case managers and social workers. Which makes it fully hands on, unlike an observership where you will be shadowing a doctor.
