plasmid is like small part of dna that is seperated from chromosomal dna and it can replicate independently so the gene causing the resistance to specific drug is in this plasmid which transferes through transposition to other bacteria also ......did u understand bacterial genetics ?

I had problem with way of getting resistant ,I think for example for beta lactamase resistancy ,gram + and gram_ MO have different mech.
