A 27 yr old male is found to be HIV positive. He is asymptomatic. His physical exam is unremarkable.
Lab tests show
CD4 count is 400/microL
VDRL negative
PPD is 6mm
Toxoplasma serology negative
Viral load 9000 copies/ml
X ray chest is negative. What is the most appropriate next step in management?

A. Reassurance and repeat testing after 2 monthss.

B. Rifampicin for 9 months.

C. Isoniazid and pyridoxine for 9 months.

D. Rifampicin, Isoniazid and Pyrazinamide and Ethambutol for 2mths followed by Isoniazid and Rifampicin for 4 mths.

E. Rifampicin, Isoniazid and Pyrazinamide for 6 months

HIV +ve and PPD more than 5mm means go for INH+pyridoxine for 9 months!!!!!
