primoridal intervention is taken much earlier..no disease..ie addressing the rf's themselves..so think of weight and obesity..you wanna target weight. (RF for obesity) ie diet and exercise--thats primordial..
primary intervention..taking effective measures to stop disease from occuring..so think of statin and M.I....statins have a mortality benefit and decrease chances of MI as well.. now..if MI has occurred and THEN you start statins after..this is secondary prevention! |
